SOLUTIONS / SAFE HIGHWAY

Connected corridors.
Smarter road operations.

Highway surveillance, intelligent toll processing and critical communications. Engineered together to help operators manage traffic, review events and coordinate a response.

SAFE HIGHWAY & ADVANCED TOLLGATE SYSTEMS

A clearer view.
Across the whole journey.

Highways carry people, goods and essential services across long distances. Operators need timely information about traffic conditions, reliable toll records and a practical way to coordinate support when an incident occurs.

HajaraIhsan’s Safe Highway approach connects roadside sensing, video, toll processing and communications with a central command environment. The design starts with the road layout, operating model and response responsibilities, then brings the appropriate technologies together.

01

Roadside awareness

Fixed cameras, PTZ views and selected analytics support observation at junctions, interchanges, toll plazas and priority sections of the corridor.

02

Connected toll operations

Vehicle capture, classification and payment interfaces bring toll records into a traceable workflow, with exceptions routed for review.

03

A shared command picture

Maps, video and incident information help operators understand where an event is happening and what resources are available.

04

Coordinated field response

Connected patrol communications and available mobile video help control-room teams share verified information with responders.

FROM VEHICLE CAPTURE TO RECONCILIATION

Make each passage
a traceable transaction.

Electronic tolling connects vehicle identification with an approved tariff and payment process. A complete solution also handles uncertain plate reads, unmatched accounts, failed payments and customer disputes.

01

Capture

Record the vehicle image, plate read, lane, timestamp and relevant classification data.

02

Validate

Check the read and vehicle class, match an account or tag where available, and flag uncertain records.

03

Charge

Apply the authorised tariff and send the transaction to the integrated payment or invoicing service.

04

Reconcile

Confirm settlement, issue the appropriate receipt and retain an audit trail for exceptions and review.

Controlled toll lanes

For existing plazas, vehicle capture and payment verification can work alongside lane controllers, barriers and operator consoles. Lane operation is designed around throughput, safety and the accepted payment methods.

Multi-lane free-flow

Where the road and operating model support it, gantry-based capture can enable tolling without a payment stop. It requires suitable identification, account or invoicing services, exception handling and the necessary operating framework.

A plate detection or issued charge is not proof of payment. Reporting should distinguish recorded passages, assessed charges, successful payments, reversals and outstanding amounts.

CAMERAS INSTALLED WHERE THEY MATTER

Observe the road.
Bring events into focus.

Camera placement is planned around sightlines, lanes, lighting, vehicle speeds and maintenance access. Overview cameras and dedicated capture devices serve different purposes and are selected accordingly.

Overview, detail and evidence

Fixed cameras maintain a view of selected areas. PTZ cameras let authorised operators inspect a scene more closely. Dedicated ANPR equipment captures number plates, while supported radar and calibrated measurement systems can contribute speed and lane information.

Selected analytics can flag stopped vehicles, wrong-way movement or other configured events. Phone-use and seatbelt review require suitable equipment, imaging conditions and a defined evidence workflow. Operators assess alerts before further action.

Reliable field power

Plan mains, solar, battery storage and backup around each site’s demand, environmental conditions and required reserve time.

Useful driver information

Variable message signs can communicate approved lane guidance, road conditions and incident information through the configured control system.

Visible system health

Device availability, recording status, link performance and power monitoring help maintenance teams prioritise faults along the corridor.

HIGHWAY CONTROL & COMMAND

Connect the incident
to the people responding.

A mapped command workspace gives operators a common reference for road events, nearby cameras and available field resources. Effective response combines that information with trained staff and clear procedures.

Locate & verify

Confirm the report location and review available video. A nearby camera may help, but visibility depends on its position and current view.

Coordinate the response

Check team availability, location freshness and access routes before assigning the response through the connected communications service.

Stay informed

Where configured, mobile recorders provide patrol video and location updates. Connectivity and device availability determine what can be viewed.

Record & review

Maintain incident ownership, time-stamped updates and closure notes. Review handling times and outcomes against agreed service targets.

Authorised vehicle-list checks can be integrated where permitted. A potential match requires verification; toll-account exceptions and security alerts follow separate review procedures. Response times depend on resources, distance, access and traffic conditions.

SOFTWARE THAT SUPPORTS THE WORKFLOW

From road events
to accountable decisions.

Our ITMS software provides a related workflow for traffic evidence review and case administration. Highway video, toll transactions and incident response have distinct operational needs; the interfaces and responsibilities are agreed as part of each integration.

Payment-provider connections, account services, lane controllers and third-party systems are specified and tested for the project. Access controls, retention rules and audit records support responsible operation.

DESIGN, TEST, OPERATE

Build around the corridor.

Survey the route

Assess lane geometry, operating speeds, power, communications, toll rules and priority incident locations.

Pilot the integration

Validate plate capture, classification, payment exceptions, camera views and end-to-end response workflows under representative conditions.

Measure performance

Review availability, plate-read quality, payment reconciliation, exception rates and incident handling. Use measured results to improve the service.
